iDID Adventure is an organisation passionate about accessibility and equality in the adventure sport industry. We run events, community groups and adventure programmes to provide sustainable opportunities for disabled individuals to participate in adventure activities.

iDID relies on energetic volunteers to share their skills and support others to participate in Adventure activities. Volunteering with us means you will make a direct impact on the Deaf and Disabled community and learn some fantastic new skills!

Club Committee

This is a fantastic opportunity for volunteers to involve themselves in the democratic processes of the iDID Adventure Clubs. The organisation of volunteer-led activities present the ideal opportunity to give back to your community. We are seeking volunteers to take on the responsibility of committee positions, to lead our community clubs and ensure their continuing success.

President
This role would best suit a person with an interest in:

•    Leadership
•    Event/Activity Management
•    Community Activities

Secretary
This role would best suit a person with an interest in:

•    Communication skills
•    Social Media
•    Time management
•    Marketing

Treasurer
This role would best suit a person with an interest in:

•    Numeracy skills
•    Budgeting
•    Bookkeeping
•    Attention to detail

Other roles include: Volunteer Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator and Community Engagement

Adventure Volunteer

Our adventure volunteer are at the forefront of everything we do and work on a front line basis to provide physical or communication support within our events, adventure clubs or adventure programmes.

Ideal candidates will have a keen interest and/or currently take part in rock climbing, skiing or canoeing. Experience in working with individuals with sensory disabilities (hearing, visual, learning, developmental) is desired but not essential as training is provided.

Volunteers MUST be willing to work in a diverse environment and have a passion to promote new opportunities for disabled young adults.
