Current Opportunities

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our volunteer team!

iDID is looking for positive and adventurous people to support its fantastic therapeutic climbing programmes for young people affected by, or at risk of, mental health issues and low well-being. At present we have three difference roles:

Climbing Minds Youth Mentor Volunteer

If you would like to learn how to rock climb as well as volunteering and making a difference in a young person’s life then this is the role for you!

This project runs at various times of the year on a Thursday at 6-8pm and takes place at the Pinnacle climbing centre. To find out more about the role please click here or email our volunteer coordinator for an application form.

Inclusive Climbing Club Youth Mentor Volunteer

If you love trying new things or have previous experience in rock climbing then this role would be perfect. Our inclusive club provides an empowering environment for young people to positively engage in activities that reduce social isolation, increase self-worth, and build resilience. To find out more about the role please click here.

This project runs yearly on a Sunday Morning, 10am – Midday. The next session starts on 13th May 2018 for 8 weeks. Each session will last approximately 2hrs and full training is provided. If you want to make a difference, please get in touch with our volunteer coordinator for an application form.

Young Adventurer Volunteer

Are you aged 16 – 19 and want to learn new leaderships skills and climbing? Then we have a great new role. We are looking for young people to work with our session supervisors in a range of difference areas. We will provide full training as well as future references.
